"Stand back!"
Watching the grand statue shooting beams out of her mouth, Alex ducked behind Zero's protection shield. She looked in horror as Captain was held like an action figure in her monstrous hand, the other holding her platform of an artist pallet. As the beams stopped for a moment, Zero's shield came down, he and Alex keeping in front of the Mayor. Remains of blue sparkles fell to the ground. As Alex took a deep breath, she tightened her hat that kept her hair hidden before running off.
"Here goes nothing!!" She yelled, giving a full sprint towards the large woman.
"Alex! Come back!" Zero flew to keep up, trying to stop her.
Mayor Gathermoon smiled watching Alex. "That's just what I'd expect from a member of Gundam Force."
Alex hid herself a moment, looking at the large robot. Zero was a fly, keeping the Mayor's statue busy. Remembering the mayor telling her how to neutralize the statue, she tried thinking of how to get to the platform. Seeing the carts on her back, Alex thought on her feet, jumping on the nearest box. As she waited for a chance to get on the platform, she watched Bakunetsumaru battling Zapper Zaku. Sword against gun, sparks and smoke were off like fireworks gone wrong. It was a blur of red and red against each other, one moving with swiftness and grace while the other more jumpy and spaztic. It was hard watching the two and keeping up. A vicious shook from the statue brought her focus back, gripping the beam that held her cart up.
"Careful Alex!" Captain yelled, only able to watch her risk breaking her neck.
She looked at him, nodding. Seeing she was just above the control switches, she jumped on the platform with some grace. She held the railing as she stood up, taking a moment to breathe. Looking up, she was face to face with the giant woman. Her glaring red eyes were enough to put Alex in a slight panic. "Uh oh..." Feeling a sudden jolt, she gripped the railing riding the Art of Spinning Death. "Uuugghh this isn't any fun!! Ahh!" She clutched the railings, now that the woman had the platform sideways. Alex scrambled to hook her legs onto the railing as well, hanging for life and shutting her eyes. "I gotta turn the speaker off!"
Opening her eyes, she focused on the switches. She was a sloth, inching slowly as to keep herself from falling off. Looking at the lady a moment, she noticed her mouth opening. It was opening at her! Alex let go for just a moment, falling to the next railing below as the beam hit where she used to be.
"Alex! Are you alright?!" Captain's eyes were focused on the teenager.
She looked up at him, nodding. "I'm okay!" Looking back up, she noticed the box was sparking from damage. "Shoot! I don't know if I can shut off her speaker now!"
"You have to try!"
Looking at her friend, Alex pulled her hat tighter on her head nodding. "You bet!" Standing on the rail, she gripped the rest above her, climbing up the jungle gym until she was at the switch again. "I hope this still works." She flipped the switch, looking up and waiting.
The statue with her glowing horn was looking at her again, about to shoot her beam. Alex nearly held her breath watching the beam warming up, then die down.
Nothing came out.
"It worked!" She exclaimed happily, holding her hat.
Looking at Baku, he was watching his enemy fly through a portal in the sky. "What is that thing?!"
"Hurry! Now's your chance!" Alex yelled, seeing she got his attention.
"My chance?" His blades still glistened in the sun in a powerful manner.
"Go through the portal! It can take you back to your wo-ah!!!" She felt a sudden shaking, gripping the railing. "Ah! Get back to your world Baku!!"
"What?" He looked from her up to the sky door. "Through that thing?"
"You must act quickly before it closes!" Zero shouted to him.
The lady was trying to shake Alex off, making her feel like a helpless spider caught on a thread. While holding on through the violent quake, her head collided with the platform hard. "Captain, do you hear ringing?" she mumbled while her grip loosened blacking out. The robotic woman shook Alex far off letting her free.
"Zero! Get Alex!" Captain pushed the grip off of him.
"I'm too far away!"
Baku looked back seeing the human soaring towards the ground. There was a huge cloud of dust and dirt, Zero and Captain finally made it over. Alex's shirt was caught on his sword, hanging lifeless. He dropped her at their feet, looking at the robot that was still trying to shoot her beams. "Leave this to me!" He on his horse rode off to take care of the horn, jumping with such agility. Cutting the cone into pieces, there was a black cloud over her angered face. When the smoke cleared, her face was back to normal, showing her warm smile and gentle eyes. "Well done Entango."
Going back to the three, the Mayor was also heading over to see if Alex was alright. Alex was now laying on her back, Captain running a scan.
"Is he alright?" Baku asked putting his swords away.
"My scanners indicate Alex has no serious injuries." Captain's monocle shifted back while looking at Baku and Zero.
"I think she just hit her head, but she'll be alright." The Mayor smiled.
"SHE?!" Zero and Baku looked at Alex more closely. With her hat off, all her long hair was showing. "Alex is a girl?!"
Captain looked at the two. "You didn't know?"
"Well how am I supposed to know?...That is to say
she certainly doesn't behave like a girl.." Baku was trying to wrap it around his head.
Zero tried covering himself. "Well of course I knew Alex was a girl
I mean
how can I not?
I can always sense a fair maiden around
"
"Proud knight! You didn't know any more than I did!"
Alex starting waking up, hearing the two go on. She looked up at them, giggling a bit. "Hey you two. Come on. No more bickering okay? I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"Alex, are you alright?" Captain asked her.
The Mayor let a sigh of relief. "You gave us quite a fright when you fell out like that."
Alex looked at her best friend. "I'm okay Captain. My head just hurts, but I think a rest at home will help me recover." She looked at the blazing samurai, just dawning to her he should have left. "Bakunetsumaru? What are you doing here? You need to get through the portal." She pointed up before looking, seeing the portal wasn't there anymore. "Huh?"
"I had to help you. You are far too reckless for one with such a fragile exterior." He put his swords away, standing tall.
She nodded, "Yes sir." She held onto Captain's hand while standing up, "I think I should head home now Captain. I need some aspirin."
Captain nodded, "Right." He looked at the samurai. "We should take you to SDG base."
"Are you sure you'll be alright heading home?" Mayor Gathermoon looked at Alex a bit worried.
Alex nodded. "As long as I'm with Captain, I'll be okay." She looked back at him.
With all the events and excitement happening, Alex was ready to just lay in bed at home. It wouldn't last to have a peaceful moment, and with the Dark Axis starting to get stronger, she knew they would need all the time to recover they could get. Alex thought to herself, picking up her hat. 'So
now we have three gundams on the force. I hope we can defeat the dark axis soon and get these two back to their homeland...'
